Hunter permanently disbarred in DC; spare us the tell-all books after perpetuating Biden fraud

Yesterday, not quite in time to make it into our Morning Edition, the news broke that the DC Bar had actually revoked — permanently — Hunter Biden’s law license.

The DC Bar’s Office of Disciplinary Counsel, which temporarily suspended Hunter’s license after he was found guilty of felony lying related to firearms and drugs, said at that time that they consider any felony to be “a serious crime.” (We thought that statement, at least coming from DC attorneys, was actually pretty funny.) But this seems more like a reflection on the lack of power the Biden family now has, even though they all benefit from the “blanket” pardon that Joe bestowed on them just before exiting the White House.

No, this move by the DC Bar seems more symbolic than anything else, as Hunter has never even practiced law in DC, though he was nominally employed in an “of counsel” position while his father was VP, on the roster of the law firm of Boies Schiller Flexner LLP. According to Wikipedia, “of counsel” is “the title of an attorney…who often has a relationship with a law firm or an organization but is neither an associate nor partner.” They say that “in large law firms, the title generally denotes a lawyer with the experience of a partner but who does not carry the same workload or business development responsibility.”

Sounds perfect for Hunter. Say, how do you get that kind of gig? Oh, of course…have your dad be Vice President of the United States.

Hunter had already let his other law license, in Connecticut, lapse after not paying his nominal membership fee; he’s still under “administrative suspension” there. He lives in California but, from what we’ve seen, is not licensed to practice law there. None of this matters for Hunter, though, because he has made a serious name for himself as an artistic genius.

The Disciplinary Counsel called on the DC Bar’s Board of Professional Responsibility to institute formal permanent disbarment proceedings. And now that has happened.

But it will have no more effect on Hunter than the five-year suspension of President Clinton’s law license in Arkansas, after he lied under oath in a deposition in the Paula Jones civil trial, had on Clinton. Bill Clinton wasn’t practicing law any longer, in Arkansas or any other state, and never would again. In fact, since Clinton was never permanently disbarred, we assume he can now represent clients in Arkansas if he ever wants to. Wish he would — and that he’d run commercials on late-night TV.)

But our main Hunter story from yesterday needs updating as well. Yes, as of yesterday we had yet more proof, in FBI call logs released by the House Judiciary Committee, that before the election, that agency conspired to cover up the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop. But today we have maddening assertions that much more covering up was going on then, most notably to hide his father’s, President Biden’s, marked cognitive decline.

Something they could have told us BEFORE THE ELECTION.

The tell-all books are being released now, with the authors only now telling us about the gaslighting that was going on back then about Ol’ Joe. For the moment, we’ll let Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media speak for us in response:

“We thought we had seen the lowest of the low from the propagandists during President Trump’s first term….the [mainstream media’s] reimagining of the bitter, divisive Biden as America’s grandpa in 2020 was a monumental exercise in creative fiction…Once they dove into that deep cesspool of deviousness, they were unable and/or unwilling to climb back out. They continued ‘reporting’ on competent, ‘sharp as a tack’ Joe Biden, who simply was not present on Planet Earth. It was galling to watch.”

One just-released book grabbing attention at the moment is “FIGHT: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House,” by Amie Parnes, senior political correspondent for The Hill, and Jonathan Allen, NBC News senior national politics reporter. As stated in The Hill, the book “reveals extensive steps to cover up the signs of Biden’s aging and contingency planning if Biden chose to step aside or even died in office.”

(By the way, this book also reports that former President Obama was actively working behind the scenes to keep Kamala Harris from getting the nomination. We know because Allen went on MSNBC to talk about it. Two words for authors like these: SPARE US. At this point, we really don’t want to hear, on MSNBC no less, from these two complicit mainstream “journalists” who should have come clean about the “real” Biden and his campaign long ago.)

We’ve already reported on a number of the “new” revelations, such as the fluorescent tape his aides would put on the floor to help him know where to walk and stand onstage. But Kruiser notes that there is nothing the DC media covering the campaign wouldn’t have known about this. Yet in these books, they have the nerve to pretend they didn’t know, just as they feigned shock at Biden’s debate performance last fall. (To us, the only shock was that his party put him onstage at all. We still believe that debate was a set-up; somebody deliberately set him up to fail.)

“There aren’t enough bad things that can be said about these people,” Kruiser says, “and I’m writing that as someone who has mad skills when it comes to being verbally vicious.” Needless to say, we have those skills, too, and sometimes it’s really hard to restrain ourselves. We do generally manage to exercise restraint — right now, for example — but it’s only to maintain this newsletter’s classy image. They really do deserve the worst language that can be dished out.

Robert Spencer, in a VIP article for PJ Media, has plenty to say as well. “There is suddenly a growing cottage industry of former Biden aides and far-left ‘journalists’ who had close access to Old Joe publishing tell-all books discussing the former alleged President’s dementia…What all these suddenly honest brokers don’t realize is how much their new confessions constitute an indictment of their own behavior while Old Joe was pretending to be President.”

Here’s a link to the article, but if you don’t have a subscription, I think we’ve given you the idea. He singles out for ridicule Ron Klain, Biden’s chief of staff during his first two years (reportedly referred to in DC as “Biden’s Brain” – oh, so that’s where it went!), who now, as The Guardian writes, “paints a devastating picture of the U.S. President’s mental and physical state before the debate with Donald Trump that sent his 2024 campaign into a tailspin.”

From Spencer: “During that entire drama that played out among Democrats last summer, as they threw Biden under the bus and replaced him with Harris, do you recall Ron Klain saying a word about Biden’s cognitive abilities? Neither do I.”

Personally, we hope all those books rot on the bookstore shelves and in the Amazon warehouses. For these authors to wait and come out with these “revelations” NOW, after the disastrous, deception-filled “Biden” term, is about the worst disservice they could ever do to this country.

And there need to be consequences. As Ward Clark writes in RedState, they installed someone with “a brain full of tapioca pudding” in the White House, which means other people were in charge. (He doesn’t mention the autopen, which could be an extremely consequential issue.) And Biden’s aides and advisers concealed this from the public until it was simply no longer possible.

This might be the most monstrous scam in history.

Remember when videos clearly showing Biden to be cognitively challenged were dismissed by the White House and media as “cheap fakes”? Jesse Watters had a segment Wednesday night about the sudden cash-in after all those lies, and he, too, singled out Ron Klain, for telling author Chris Whipple he was “startled” seeing Biden “exhausted and out of it…unaware” and “fatigued, befuddled and disengaged” during debate prep, but still saying publicly, even after the debate debacle, that Biden was “up to the job he’s doing it every day, he’s doing it successfully.” One really has to wonder how he can look at himself in the mirror.

The name of the book, so you’ll know which one not to buy, is “UNCHARTED: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History.”

(Note: one interesting point in the book, though, is Klain’s description of Biden’s family being furious about how debate prep was going. This lends additional credence to our suspicion that somebody else was making Biden do that debate, knowing he’d fail.)

“The media’s acting like this is all business as usual,” Watters said, “but there’s nothing normal about what happened the last four years. We didn’t have a President. And everyone covered it up, and so they had the chance to sell a book.”

He called for the entire “Biden” presidency — and the people who orchestrated it — to be investigated. A commission or special counsel needs to be appointed. Biden’s interview tapes, as opposed to just the transcripts, with Special Counsel Robert Hur need to be made public. (Watters didn’t mention this, but another possible reason for withholding the tapes is that the transcripts might have been doctored to make Biden seem more coherent.)

Watters’ guest Dennis Quaid said this seems like a matter of his staff really running the country and “now, [not wanting] to take the blame for anything.” (Considering this was the worst administration in living memory, if not of all time, that’s understandable if not forgivable.) But now, Quaid said, “they’re kind of confessing in a way…[but] now they’re gonna make their money off the books.”

Since Quaid has actually played the part of President Ronald Reagan and, of course, had to research the role in depth, Watters asked him to compare this situation to that of Reagan, who was later diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. That was very different, Quaid said, as Reagan was “in charge of his faculties” until “a few years” after he left the White House. Reagan was with Gorbachev in Red Square the last year of his presidency, helping bring an end to the Cold War, and “to bring that off, you have to have control of your faculties.”
